Day 1: Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple

 

Arrive in Guwahati and check into your hotel.

Visit Kamakhya Temple, one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya.

Explore the temple complex and witness the rituals and ceremonies. Afternoon visit to Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra River.

Enjoy a leisurely boat ride or the ropeway if time allows to reach the temple. Return to the mainland and spend the evening exploring the local markets and enjoying Assamese cuisine. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

 

Day 2: Temples of Guwahati and Departure

 

Visit other popular temples in Guwahati, such as: Navagraha Temple: Dedicated to the nine celestial bodies in Hindu astrology.

Basistha Temple: Situated in a serene forest area, dedicated to Sage Vashistha.

 Balaji Temple: Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a replica of the famous Tirupati Temple.

 Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, savoring Assamese delicacies. In the evening, experience a breathtaking ropeway ride to Kamakhya Hill, offering panoramic views of the city and Brahmaputra River.Witness the mesmerizing sunset from the hilltop.Return to the hotel and check out from the hotel.Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing.Transfer to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport / Guwahati Railway Station.
