ITINERARY FOR ASSAM,MEGHALAYA,ARUNACHAL PRADESH,MANIPUR,NAGALAND AND SIKKIM

 

DAY 01: GUWAHATI - BHALUKPONG (250 km/4hr 40 min) Approx

  • Arrival at Guwahati Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport/Railway station and visit Maa Kamakhya Temple.
  • Directly proceed to Bhalukpong.
  • River rafting are attractions at Bhalukpong.
  • Tipi Orchidariurm nearby has over 2000 orchids varieties.
  • Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Bhalukpong Hotel.


DAY 02: BHALUKPONG – DIRANG (05-06 HRS) Approx

  • After Breakfast proceed to Dirang.
  • Dirang: is a charming city located in north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. 
  • With Hot water spring, Dirang holidays draw travelers for a welcome break.
  • Check in to your hotel.
  • Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Dirang hotel.

 


DAY 03: DIRANG – TAWANG (140 km/ 4hr 30 min) Approx

  • After breakfast, drive to Tawang.
  • Sela pass: It is a narrow pass in the mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 13700 ft above mean sea level and it signals our entry into the Tawang valley.
  • There are many scenic spots on the way to Tawang. I.e. Paradise Lake, Jung fall, Jaswant garh etc.
  • Overnight stay at Tawang hotel.


DAY 04: TAWANG - SIGHTSEEING

  • After breakfast, leave for Holy Lake.
  • Tawang is the 6th Dalai Lama’s birth place. It is one of the most spectacular destinations for any tourist. Tawang is located at a height of 12000ft above the sea level.  
  • It is a land of Monpa Tribes.
  • The main attraction of Tawang is the 400 years old Tawang Monastery andTawang War Memorial.
  • Overnight stay at Tawang hotel.


DAY 05: TAWANG – BUMLAPASS

  • This is really beautiful place. This location is off the beaten track for those who love roaming in the wilderness. It is a fantastic place.
  • The Bum La Pass is located about 37 km away from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, at the Indo-China border above 16,500 ft above sea level.
  • En route visit PTSO Lake.
  • Evening back to Tawang.
  • Overnight Stay at Hotel in Tawang.


DAY 06: TAWANG – BOMDILA (180 km/ 06hrs) Approx

 

  • Early morning checkout from hotel and directly proceed to Bomdila.
  • Evening visit to Nag Mandir & Bomdila Monastery.
  • Overnight stay at Bomdila hotel.


DAY 07:  BOMDILA TO KAZIRANGA (06 HRS) APPROX

  • After breakfast drive back to Kaziranga.
  • Evening Visit Orchid Garden & Ganesh Temple.
  • Overnight stay at hotel in Kaziranga.

DAY 08:- KAZIRANGA TO KOHIMA

  • Local sightseeing of kohima

DAY 09:- KOHIMA TO MANIPUR

DAY 10:- MANIPUR

DAY 11:- MANIPUR

DAY 12:- MANIPUR TO JORHAT:

DAY 13:- MAJULI

DAY 14:- MAJULI TO SHILLONG

 

 



DAY:15 CHERAPUNJEE

After breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee. It is the wettest place in the world.

  • On the way to Cherrapunjee you can visit Shillong peak and Elephant falls.
  • The Cherrapunjee is a land of wonderful waterfalls and beautiful valleys.
  • Some of the main attractions are the Ramakrishna Mission Museum, First Presbyterian     Church, Mawsmai Fall, Nohkalikai Falls, and Eco Park.
  • Evening back to Shillong.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.


DAY16: SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI - SHILLONG

  • After breakfast proceed to visit Mawlynnong the cleanest village in Asia. The main attraction are living Root Bridge and Balancing rock.
  • After lunch proceed to Dawki. Dawki is a small town in Jaintia hills district.
  • The main attraction is the Umngot river. Dawki is known for Indo-Bangladesh border.
  • Evening back to Shillong.
  • Overnight stay at hotel in Shillong.


DAY 17: SHILLONG - GUWAHATI (03 HRS) APPROX

  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive back to Guwahati.
  • Visit Balaji Temple, Umananda Temple.
  • Evening you can go for River Cruise (Reporting time 4pm/5pm).
  • Overnight stay at hotel

 

DAY 18 :- GANGTOK

DAY 19:- LACHUNG

DAY 20 :- DROP TO AIRPORT
