ITINERARY FOR ASSAM AND MEGHALAYA (08 DAYS & 07 NIGHTS)

 

 

Day 01/ (Guwahati Airport/Station Pickup and drop to Hotel at Guwahati)

• Pick up from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi airport / Guwahati Station(10:30 p.m.).
• And drop to hotel at Guwahati.

Day 02/ (Guwahati – Shillong)

• Early morning visit Kamakhya Devi Temple and move on to Shillong and enroute visit Umiam lake also known as Barapani lake
• Visit the Airforce museum, Don Bosco Museum and drop at hotel.
• Evening walking at Police bazaar and try local foods.
• Night stay at Shillong.

Day 03/ ( Shillong to Dawki, Mawlynglong village and root bridge)

• Morning after breakfast visit the Dawki river also known as the Crystal river and visit the sighteeing point of Bangladesh border.
• Later visit the Mawlynglong village which is known for the Asias cleanest village in the world.
• Than visit the Root bridge and also see the hanging stone.
• Later be back to Cherrapunnjee. Night stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 04/ ( Cherapunjee Sightseeing )

• Morning after breakfast visit the Nohkalikai falls
• Than visit the Mawsami cave, Seven sister falls, Wakhaba falls, Ramakrishna Mission
• And stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 05/ (Cherrapunjee to Mawsynram and back to Shillong)

• Morning proceed for Mawsynram (Asia’s highest rainfall area).
• And evening back to Shillong.
• And back to Shillong.

Day 06 / ( Shillong  to Kaziranga National Park)

• Morning after breakfast visit the Kaziranga National Park.
• Enroute visit the sightseeing point of Rhino.
• Evening leisure time and enjoy the cultural dance of Assamese people.
• Night stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 07/ ( Kaziranga Sightseeing and Guwahati back)

• Morning after breakfast enjoy the Elephant safari or enjoy the Jeep safari at Kaziranga National park.
• Later visit the Orchid park.
• Evening back to Guwahati & drop to Hotel.

Day 08/ (Kaziranga - Guwahati)

• Morning visit Umananda Temple also known as Peacock Island.
• Arround 12:30 p.m. drop at Station/Airport at Guwahati.
