ITINERARY FOR GUWAHATI, POBITORA & MEGHALAYA

 

 

DAY 01: GUWAHATI LOCAL SIGHTAEEING

• Early morning visit the Kamakhya temple.
• After breakfast visit Peacock Island / Umananda Temple.
• After Lunch at 3:30 p.m. visit River Crush Dinner at Brahmputra River.
• And drop to Hotel.

 

Day 02: GUWAHATI –SHILLONG ( 114 KMS :3 HOUR 30 MINS JOURNEY)

• Morning after breakfast forward to Shillong and visit the Umiam Lake also known as  Barapani lake.

• Than visit Laitlum famous for Grand Canyon.
• Evening one can have Shopping at Police Bazaar
• Night stay at Shillong

Day 03: SHILLONG –CHERRAPUNJEE ( 54 KMS : 2 HOURS JOURNEY)

• Morning after breakfast, proceed for Cherrapunjee.

• On the way visit Elephant falls.
• Enroute visit Noh Kalika Falls, Ramkrishna Mission, Mawsmai Cave made of limestone.
• Than visit Seven Sister falls
• Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 04: SHILLONG - MAWLYNNONG - DAWKI  (81 KMS: 3 HOURS JOURNEY)

• After breakfast proceed for Mawlynnong village, a small village in Meghalaya famous for its cleanliness. It is perhaps the cleanest village in Asia.
• Also visit the living root bridge.
• Visit Dawki known for its crystal river where you can enjoy boating the rest of the day.
• Night stay at Shillong

DAY 05: SHILLONG - POBITORA ( 150 KMS: 4 HOURS 20 MINS JOURNEY)

• Morning after breakfast Proceed for Pobitora.
• Jeep safari at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary.
• Back to Guwahati and evening drop to Guwahati station/Airport.
